Houghton sets pb in javelin final - 26 March 2006Nothern Ireland athletes Michael Allen, Zoe Brown and Ben Houghton ended the final day of competition at the MCG on Saturday night.
In the javelin both athletes managed to throw over 70m, with Ben setting a new personal best with his first round throw of over 72m. ben finished in ten position with Michael twelfth of the thirteen athletes. Training partner Nick Nieland won the competition with a first round effort over 80m.
In the womens pole vault Zoe Brown was disappointed when finishing twelfth in the final. Zoe had a third attempt clearance at 4m.
